American saxonies are all the rage

I started the day out at Desborough fitting some Fells Serendipity carpet, this is a very deep piled saxony very luxurious, it looked great. Then I went to Kettering to install some Whitestone Weavers City Twist Carpet into a Dinning room. When i got back to the Showroom I was told the great news that we have won the tender for the Eco House in Market Harborough, Sustainable Harborough who are running the project have been working closely with me on which products to install, we have come to the decision to install a 100% Wool product on a underlay made of 100% recycled product, I am really exited to be working on such a worthwhile project and I am looking forward to seeing the finished house, details to follow.

Were back and ready for business

We were closed yesterday to recharge our batteries. I had a lovely day with Deb and the girls we went for a walk over the fields to Foxton, that might be the last walk with poppy as a child she will be starting secondary school tomorrow and they seem to change into little adults once they take that step, so today is a day of reflection and reminiscing for me. I have been in the showroom today it has been very busy and I have two quotations to do on the way home, Matt and Craig have been on school work all day trying to get it all finished before term time. Things don’t show any sign of slowing down.

Roll out the red carpet

Craig and I fitted some Causeway Cotherstone Twist colour Red into a Lounge/Diner this morning, the customer also had some Penthouse Shoreline fitted onto their Hall, Stairs and Landing, both were installed on to Cloud Nine Underlay, we also fitted some Avenue Cushion floor into their three Bathrooms, the finished job looked fantastic. Matt is tied up with School work at the moment then the Hilton and Y M C A work starts again, we will all need a holiday soon.

The new look

Hi there, first thing this morning I fitted two bedrooms in one of the new soft feel saxonies  called High Society from Fells Carpets, what a fantastic product pure luxury, these rooms were being revamped for two young lads who are due to get back from their holiday tomorrow they don’t even know about it , hope its a nice surprise chaps.

under the dome

Me and Craig have been at Park house Market Harborough today, installing some Whitestrone Weavers City Twist 60oz into the Gallery, Bedroom and Drawing Room in one of the apartments this was a full works job including furniture removal and replacement, uplift and disposal of the old carpet and underlay and vacuuming after installation. this job was of particular interest as the drawing room was a suspended floor built into the old staircase of the house and the gallery was part of the old landing, overhead was a giant glass dome, it looked like a scene from Titanic, the job looked great.

Sorry we’ve been too busy to chat

Yesterday we started by installing some Tarkett ID40 vinyl plank into phase one of the works over at the Y M C A  Belvoir Drive Leicester, then Craig started to install some Hugh mackay Castle twist carpet into a full house in Market Harborough, after sorting out some quotes at the office I joined him for a couple of hours leaving him with some stairs to fit while I went to Kibworth to do a measure, things are not showing any sign of slowing up.

Sunday at the showroom

What a busy day, there has been a constant flow of customers all day, I think the good people of Market Harborough have passed the word around because today i have had customers from Northampton, Leicester, Melton Mowbray and Daventry in, thank you all for your orders and I look forward to making your carpet and flooring wishes come true.

Tower House

Today I installed some Whitestone Weavers Pinpoint Twist at Tower House Lubenham, the house with the rapunzel tower, this is the seventh area I have supplied flooring for in this beautiful historic house, this time it was the rear corridor and stairs that received the blackberry Hill treatment and the owner was very happy with the finished product.
